The degree conferred upon the lecturer— consisting of the college yells— showed clearly Mr. McCain's ' high place in the estimation of his audi ence. Cosmopolitan Club. The meeting , held last Friday evening for the formation of a Cos mopolitan Club was attended by about twenty-four Students and sev * eral professors. The outldok seems bright for a. strong chapter being es tablished here, the ultimate aim be ing to become a member of the As sociation of Cosmopolitan Clubs.. This Association is represented in all the large univiersities of the coun try, and is doing excellent work for the betterment' of the foreign stu dents, and by work at the Lake Mohonk Conference, for the estab lishment of universal peace. We nave here quite a number of foreign students, the following coun ties being represented at the recent • meeting: seven Russians, five Porto .ticans. four Cubans, one Italian and e Polander.
