The purpose of this series is to discover and develop material for the varsity team and to provide four teams to meet the varsity in practice. Article I. All members of a class who do not belong to the varsity baseball squad shall be eligible to the class teams. Article 11. Members of a class are those so ranked in the college lists, excepting men who have attend ed the meetings and paid dues info the treasury of the class for at least one year. Article 111. Each class shall equip and maintain its own team. Article IV. Each class shall be scheduled to play three games with every other class. Article V. the class having the highest percentage of victories at the end of the series shall be entitled to the championship. Article VI. The schedule shall be arranged by a committee com posed of the manager of the varsity team and the managers of the four class teams. Article VII. This schedule com mittee shall choose as umpires, a number of men not belonging to any of the contesting classes. The man agers of the two teams engaged in a game shall secure one of these um pires to officiate. Article VIII. The managers shall keep a full record of all games with the batting and fielding averages of THE STATE COLLEGIAN the players. So far as possible this record shall be published in the State Collegian. Article IX. The diamond on the new athletic field is reserved exclu sively for varsity games and prac tice. Article X. The winners of the series shall have their class numer als engraved upon the Baseball Cup pi esented by Mr. George Meek. The winners of the series shall have, during Commencement Week and the year following, the privilege of flying their class flag with the cham pionship pennant from the pole on the new athletic field. Article XII. Each class shall award numerals for participation in these games, as it sees fit, except that no class shall have the right to award such numerals unless its team shall have played all the nine games provided for in these rules. Article XIII. In disputes under these rules the court of last resort shall be composed of the Director of Athletics, the President of the Athletic Association, the captain and manager of the Varsity team, and one other man chosen by them.
