The opening lecture in the free lecture course will be delivered in the A.uditoriam at eight o'clock on Friday evening, December 18, by Mr. William L. Hall, of the United States forest service. The suoject of the lecture is "The Conservation of our National Resources." Mr. Hall is a public speaker of note, and has lectured widely throughout the country. His lecture will be illustrated with many interesting lantern slides. Those who were disappointed last year should avail themselves of this opportunity to hear an illustrated lecture on fores try. Admission is free. Doors open at 7:30 o'clock. Special Note to Alumni. It has become a matter of general understanding that at the Christmas season the Library receives gifts from Alumni. In other years and with the hearty support of General Beaver, appeals have been sent out. These have always returned in fruit ful additions, and the appeal is here by brought once more to the atten tion of Alumni and friends of the college for donations of books, and funds for purchase of books, so much needed by the institution.
