THE PHI GAMMA DELTA HOUSE Where the Twentieth Anniversary Was Celebrated Last Week S. A. E. Convention. Province Beta of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity held its semi annual convention at the College on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of last week. Delegates from each of the nine chapters included in the Province were present. The follow ing me:i represented their chapters in the convention : W. B. White, Cornell; H. B. Woodward, E. E. Barnitz, Dickin son; E. R. Innes, Bucknell; W. P. Hall, Columbia; Ralph C. Stewart, G. N. Ray, W. R. Morgan, H. K. Hughes, Pennsylvania; V.J. Snycter, Syracuse; H. B. Strock, Gettys burg; W. E. Ferrall, Allegheny; D. A. Elias, G. S. Brenneman, R. B. Meckley, Penn State. The meetings were presided over by Ralph C. Stewart, of Philadel phia, the president of the Province. He was re-elected to office for an other two year term. A great deal of important business was transacted relative to the welfare of the respec• tive chapters and a number of recommendations were made to the National Fraternity. Committees THE STATE COLLEGIAN were appointed to assist the National Fraternity in making arrangements for the convention to be held at Atlantic City in June, 1909. The most of the time was taken up with the business of the convention, but Thursday night was devoted to a smoker and Friday night the con vention banquet was held. The delegates from the larger uni versities in particular were surprised at the size of the college, the num ber of students, the buildings, and the spirit of the place. Although the inclement weather kept the men indoors most of the time and pre vented them from seeing much of our college and our athletic teams, the general opinion was that the convention was a pronounced suc- A booklet containing the songs sung in the performance given by the Pharsonians has been on sale for several days.
