Dr. Sparks Coming Soon. Dr. Sparks expects to come to State College permanently early in May, if the repairs on the Presi dent's residence are completed. He will give Commencement addresses at the Allegheny High 'School. the Clearfield High School, and the Birmingham School, at Birmingham. He will also deliver the address of welcome to the Pennsylvania Teach ers' Association during their meet ing at State College in July. A. re cep ion to the teachers will be given at he President's residence by Dr. and Mrs Sparks on one of the even ings of the meeting. Resolution by the Trustees. At the last meeting of the Execu tive Committee of the Board of Trustees a resolution was adopted commending the work of those who assisted in fighting the fire in the Chemical building on March 30. It was the unanimous opinion of the Committee that had it not been for the energetic work of the students and others, the building would have been destroyed. The insurance companies have been both prompt and liberal in their settlement of the loss, allowing not only for the actual loss by fire but for that sustained by breakage. Thirty Senior and Junior Chemists composed the party which with Professors Churchill and Logo made a ten days' trip during vacation. The itinerary included Pittsburg, Kittanning, Franklin, Niagara Falls, and Buffalo. ending with an enjoya ble banquet given by Dr. Pond at Lock Haven. What is more fun than a minstrel show?
