Modern condi tions in social and business life form the theme of the play brought here for the benefit of the borough fire department. Mr. Ade has well lived up to his reputation as hu morist, and the "gag" atmosphere for which he is noted, is unequaled. The story concerns a 3 oung fellow just out of college, his girl, his busi ness affairs, his friends, and his scrapes. The chief interest is in the Ade method of working out the odd situations and the development of the sort of characters seen about us every day. During the present week the company is at the Alvin theatre in Pittsburg, and will - go from here to New York. The Penn Relays, More than 175 colleges and schools will compete at Pennsyl vania's relay races on April 25 at Franklin Field. In the class or group races there are 45 college teams, 75 ,school teams and 31 grammar school quartets. We have been placed in class 1, along with Columbia, Oho State, Swarthmore, Lafayette, Wesleyan Johns Hopkins, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This arrangement is not entirely satis factory, and it is possible that State may be changed to the class in which we were entered last year The team which will represent State will be picked from the fol lowing men : Miller, Guyer, Math ers, Smith, Bubb, Berry, Hay and Bedale.
