Professor Stoek's Lecture. For more than an hour last Friday evening Prof. H. H. Stoek, of Scranton, editor of Mines and Minerals and a former instructor in the College, held the attention of an audience on the topic "Some Prob lems in Coal Mining." Prof. Stoek exhibited a fine lot of stereopticon views which showed the various methods of coal production. He refuted the frequently advanced idea of the imminent exhaustion of the world's coal supply, and showed the location of the fields from which comes most of the coal supply of this country. In closing he spoke briefly of the Monongah disaster. It is rumored that work will be begun soon on some of the walks to be laid out under the new campus plans.
