James M. Parry. James McCosh Fairy, ex-'O5, died suddenly of pneumonia at Telluride, Col., on Friday March 6th. He attended Princeton Uni versity previous to entering Penn State in the fall of 1902. His Lather, the Rev. Thomas Parry, tormerly pastor of the Wiikinsburg Presbyterian church, and family have recently moved to Wichita, Kan., at which place the interment will be made. Coming--the New Pharsonians. The date for the initial appear ance of the New Pharsonians has been fixed as April 10. At a meet ing of the committee held Monday night the following men were chosen: tenors Gebhardt, Wyckoff, Waha. Hills, and Berry; basses, Krise, G, E. Miller, Buller, Wright, and Arm strong. The end men will be Sadler, Eckels, Breese. and Knox, with McCoy, 'lO, and Foster as substitutes. Electrical Society Banquet. The members of the Electrical Engineering Society enjoyed a good feed at the Nittany Inn on Tuesday evening. The speech-making was under the humorous guidance of toastmaster R. R. Dry, and the following toasts were responded to: "The Engineer in the Limelight,", Prof J. P. Jackson; "Variety," J. W. Loose; "Incidents of Real Life," Prof. G. E. Monroe; "The Women - ," B. S. Gramlev. Engagement of Prof. Foss. Announcement was made some time ago of the engagement of Prof. F. E. Foss, of Pittsburg, and Miss Louise Rust, of Cleveland. Profes sor Foss was formerly head of the Civil Engineering department of the college and now holds a similar po sition in the Carnegie Technical Schools. 1910 La Vie. The election of business manager of the 1910 La Vie which was held last Thursday night resulted in the choice of Robert Buka for the office. The other members of the board will be chosen soon by a committee consisting of the editor-in• chief, business manager, and five others.
