I Review of Our Athletics I The College year of 1906-07 is the grandest that Penn State has ever had in all around athletics. It looked impossible to surpass the wonderful record made last year, yet this has been accomplished by our valiant Varsity representatives on gridiron, diamond, track and floor. The record made last fall by Capt ain "Mother" Dunn's stalwart elev en was surpassed by only one team in the country, —Yale, and our Var sity played "Old Eli" to a standstill, luck beiug the deciding feature of this great struggle. This contest gave to Yale the only 10 points scored against our "White and Blue" all season: while our team scored 93 points, overpowering such rivals as the Carlisle Indians, Annapolis, Dickinson, W. U. P.. and West Virginia. It was the grandest gridiron record ffery, Ass't.• Coach Second row—Campbell, tchey, Hirshman, Reece, McWilliams, Wray, our college has ever achieved, and critics all over the country allotted to Pennsylvania State a position among the top notches for 1906. For the first time in our history the Carlisle Indians were defeated, and the Yale score was also the lowest on record: Only once during the season was our goal line crossed. The peerless coaching of "Tommy" Fennell was the keystone of our .success.
