The Deficiency Bill. As most of our readers know, the deficiency bill has been passed and signed by Governor Stuart, the amount of the bill thereby being definitely settled. The items of the bill are given below. Completion of Agricultural build ing $85,000, tunnel from power plant to Agricultural buildings $24,- 169.60, heat, light, power, and water $ ..1,318.79, maintenance of Library $2,312.74, Military depart ment $1,595.24, maintenance of and repairs to buildings and care of the campus $9, 373.93, salaries $24,453.- 82, machinery and equipment for Engineering departments $5,600, improvements to the Power house $2.240, insurance $1.006.88, equip ment of the School of Mines and Metallurgy $2, 459.92 Total $179,- 530.92. It will be noted that the items given cover expenditures for which the appropriation bill of two years ago failed to provide. The present appropriation bill has passed both houses, and is awaiting the action of Governor Stuart. The bill as it now stands provides for an appropriation of $334,000. Senior Miners' Theses H. A.
