The Indoor Meet. Last Saturday evening in the armory the first three events of the indoor athletic meet proved an in teresting beginning for the series. Montz, ’O7 made the highest pos sible score (100) in the 30 yard dash by covering that distance in 3 2-5 seconds; Strayer.’lO scored 100 points by pulling up 25 times; while in the high-jump Floerchey, ’lO and Harrison ’lO each scored 80 points by a jump of 5 feet 2 inches. From about forty entries only twenty-four men toed the scratch at Director Golden’s final call; never theless, the battle for supremacy be tween these men will surely prove interesting. Every man now in the contest has a good opportunity to win a medal. The inauguration of this new departure in State’s ath letics will mean a great deal to the students who are taking part, and the future will no doubt show the benefits of the sport.
