Library Notes Hours 7.55 a.m. to 10 p.m. Week-days. 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays. The Library Committee has ex tended the time on circulating books to two weeks, with privileges of re newal. A list of such books may be found on the Library Desk. With the exception of specially re served books, all others may be drawn out over night, and from Sat urday after 5 p.m. until Monday at 9 a.m. Among the gifts recently received at the Library are the following : From H. Walton Mitchell, of the class of '9O, and a strong supporter of the College, comes A. K. Mc- Clure's "Old Time Notes of Penn sylvania." Gov. Hig'gins of New York, through the courtesy of General Beaver, sends the, full report of the Armstrong Insurahce Investigation Committee, published in seven vol umes. Miss Meek, 1889, an Instructor at State, has the thanks of the Library for a large addition to our file of County papers, also for the bound volumes of Haiper's Weekly 1861, 2, and 3. These war numbers are partictaklir valuable and interesting, and the Library would be glad to receive the volumes for 1864 and 1865. The pamphlet and magazine col lection on technical education, from the library of President A . herton has been received. Many items of value are accruing to the Library therefrom, and many additions made to the file of Official Publicati 3ns of the College, of Alumni and former W. T. DUNN THE STATE COLLEGIAN teachers. Books and Periodicals have also been received from the Hon. W. F. Hill ; from Professors Walker, Gill, Pattee, Mairs, Fehr, Frizzell ; from Mr. J. G. Cu:bertson of the class of 1906 ; and from the class of 1907. A new book by Nelson Lloyd of the class of 1892 is announced. It is entitled "The Robberies Co., Ltd., published by Scribner's, and the sixth book to the credit of this versatile, talented and successful wri ter. Prep Cider Last Saturday night the preps brought a big barrel of cider onto the front campus,and at ten minutes of eight broke in the head of the barrel, at the same time giving the 'O9 yell. In about three minutes the Sophomores began to appear with cups, pitchers, small pails, and large pails; anything that would hold cider was useful and in de mand. It took only a short time to empty the barrel, and those who tested the cider say that the preps certainly gave a good treat to their friends. John I.
