one-day recess with the extra time added to the Christmas' holidays. Many of the students prefer the lat ter. Although it is not yet defin itely decided it is almost a settled fact that absences twenty-four hours before and after the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter vacations, will not be allowed. However, to the smaller recesses and holidays this rule will not apply. The trustee members of the trus tee-alumni committee are consider ing the proposition of establishing a custom of having a permanent stu dent committee to take up the stu dent side of any differences that may hereafter arrive. When the joint meeting of the three committees was over it was decided that the student body return to college the next morning, Wed nesday, Dec. 6th. The students believe they have accomplished something and are of the unanimous opinion that they have gotten a square deal. Thus ended the strike which lasted for ten days and even up to the last moment threatened to do great injury to the college.
