STATE COLLEGE STUDIO W. W. SMITH, ARTIS'I' Inter=class Baseball Considerable discussion is being raised among the students as to the ‘ ‘whys and whereofs’ ’ of the inter- class games. Thus far none of the games have been played. The first game was scheduled between the Jun iors and Freshmen-about two weeks ago. The game would probably have been played had it not rained that day and several succeeding days. It was postponed indefinitely. The game between the Seniors and Sophomores scheduled to come off Tuesday of last week was not played on account cf a dispute. The four class captains had made the statement that they would not play any Varsity men. With the exception of the Sophomores all classes agreed to abide by the Cap tains decision. 1907 claimed that as Varsity men were not excluded from inter class contests in other sports they should not be barred from base ball. They refused to play the Sen iors without their Varsity men and thus the affair stands. Owing to the nearness of exams it is probable that the inter-class contests in baseball will be called off for this year.
