In our account of the last baseball trip the statement was made that the cancelled Lafayette game could have been played. Since then we have learned that the grounds were in poor condition and that our manager favored the cancellation of the game, We are glad to have the opportunity of making this correction. The Flag Scrap. The flag has come and gone, and, although there was a dispute between the upper classes as to the result, it was finally decided in favor of the Freshmen. The latter inaugurated a new trick this year by bringing on the flag after daylight; it was a quarter past seven last Tuesday morning when the pole was erected several hundred feet back of the Beta Theta Pi House. Gal Moorhead occupied a position at the top of the pole. The flag was im mediately surrounded by members of both classes and some lively hand-to hand wrestling occurred. At eight o’clock there was some dispute as to the advisability of calling off the scrap in favor of 1908. However, the Sophomores agreed that if the Fresh men unfurled their flag, which by the way was bound to the pole, the former would acknowledge their defeat. With the help of a ladder this was done, class yells were given and 1907 re tired. Summer Employment, We have a most profitable propo sition for summer work for college men.
