Two of the leading Canadian uni
versities, McGi 1 and Toronto,
intend to send representatives to
the University of Pennsylvania’s
Eleventh Annual Relay Carnival, to
take place on Franklin Field on
April 29. Present indications shows
that there will be over one thousand
athletes in the Carnival.
The Faculty of Delaware College,
situated at Newark, Delaware, re
cently took a decided stand against
cribbing in examinations. As a re

in unfair dealings during the first

Fifteen colored students of the
University of Michigan are en
deavoring to organize a Greek let
ter fraternity. Should their efforts
be successful, it will be the only
organization of its kind in the world
composed cf colored students.
At the Imperial University of Ja
pan there is more attention given to
athletics than is given at Yale or
Harvard. As to callege yells and
songs, it is quite different, —they are
said am or never heard; and, too,
college colors are seldom seen at
that insti ution.

A new 10 H. P. Prescott Turbine,
a gift to the College from the Pres
cott company, and built specially
for testing purposes, has just been
set up in the Engineering Building.
Another 40 H. P. machine of the
same type is being made ready for
a test after which it will be returned
to the company. The turbine is
built on the same general principles
as the De Laval, and the 10 H. P.
machine is surely an appreciable ad
diton to the Engineering Laboratory.
