—Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity gave a luncheon to their guests who had come up for the Senior Prom. on Saturday following the dance. —The annual "flag scrap" between the Sophomores and Fresh men took place early Monday morning, the 20th, and was a com plete victory for the Sophomores. The Freshmen succeeded in raising the pole with their flag at its head, but .the Sophomores threw quantities of flour into the eyes of their opponents, and, be fore the latter were able to see what was going on, the Sopho mores had raised another pole against the first, chained it there, and had sent one of their number to the top, who quickly cut the flag clown. —N. G. Miller, of Chambersburg, attended the conference of Y. M. C. A. presidents held at Lewisburg, April 23-26. —The entertainment given by the Thespians at Bellefonte on Friday, May I, was given under the auspices of the D. A. R. The proceeds were appropriated to the fitting out of an . additional room in' the hospital. The fact that the house was crowded and the applause vocifer ous proves that our boys played their parts well. In fact, they were so interesting that when it was announced that there was a fire near the opera house the audience was scarcely disturbed. The boys were entertained at the homes of a number of the prominent families of the town. —Sigma Chi fraternity gave their spring dance on Friday even ing, April 24th, at their house. It was one of the prettiest of the formal functions which have been held this year. The music was furnished by the Germania Orchestra, of Lock Haven. Guests were present from Sunbury, Lock Haven, Bellefonte and vicinity. —Miss Helen Kinkaid, a daughter of Lieut. Kinkaid, who was formerly instructor in mathematics at this college, is visiting at the home of Dr. Dale, in Lemont. Miss Kinkaid's present home is in Washington, and she is taking advantage of this visit to renew many of her old acquaintances and friendships. .
