In view of the fact that our institution is becoming each year more prominent in athletics we deem it expedient to bring before the student body the fact that Our athletic rules regarding the obtaining of an "S" are not stringent enough. To those who are conversant with the circumstances this suggestion needs no explanation but for those not so well informed we refer them to the athletic association. Definite rules on the awarding of “S's" are to be found in art. VIII, Foot Ball Dep't. sec. 8; art. IX, Base Ball Dep't. sec. 2, art. X, Gen. Atli. Dept sec. 2, and are inserted here for general information and convenience. SEc. 8. Any member of this Association who shall have played on the Varsity team, in three games,, one of which shall be with Princeton, University of Pennsylvania, Cor nell, Yale, Harvard, or the Thanksgiving game; shall be en talectfO'wear the foot, ball S. The regularly elected Mana ger shall also be allowed to wear, this S. S . M. 2.
