evening Mar. 15th, for the benefit of the base ball team was one of the most successful, financially and socially, held in recent years. The masquers on parade were not very num erous, but those who did turn out made a fine showing. The floor was reserved for masquers from 7:30 to 9:30 alter which the general public were free to participate. The prizes offered were three in number. Ist prize, for the most striking costume,,a,pipe; 2nd, for the best lady, a handsome pillow: 3d, for the most comical, a golf stick. First prize was won by Mr. A. Wirt, as an ancient soldier; 2nd prize by Mr. C. A. Shearer; 3d prize by Mr. C. G. Stoll, as a baby in a coach. Honorable mention, Mr. C. B. Norris, as nurse to the baby; Mr. R. P.
