    The College dramatic club, “The Thespians,” assisted
by the Mandolin Club, has just concluded a brief but very
successful season. The plays presented were “Lend Me
Five Shillings” and “David Garrick.” The first perfor
mance was given at home, Feb. 20, in the College Chapel.
The boys met with a most hearty reception, and they de
served it, for they presented the plays in a manner which
was highly creditable. The plays were more modern than
many of those selected by the club in former years, and on
this account met with perhaps a more general appreciation.
E. T. McCleary in the role of Mr. Golightly and Squire
Clnvy was almost faultless.
The iollowing morning the amateur actors started on
their trip. They played successively at Tyrone, Ridgway,
Enporium and Lock Haven. They will be seen at home
again during Commencement week. Below is given the
cast of characters, and synopsis of “David Garrick,” and
the names of the members of the Mandolin Club.
