COLLEGE MISCELLANY. COMMENCEMENT WEEK. The Baccalaureate service held in the chapel on Sunday morning l , June 10, was the opening 1 exercise of the 40th an nual commencement. The sermon was delivered by the Rev. Dr. Lawrence M. Colfelt, of Philadelphia, formerly college preacher and dean of ethics. Dr. Colfelts subject was, “The worth of fidelity to duty,” and he took as his text Luke xix, 17: “Because thou hast been faithfull in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities. ” The chapel was tastefully decorated with palms and bunting. Monday afternoon the annual interclass contest was held on Beaver Field. As an athletic contest it was hardly up to standard, many of the entries failing to respond. Martin broke the record in the pole vault by one inch. From the start ’O3 had everything its own way, winning with the score of 55.
