ON February 21st the fourth annual inter-class basket ball series ended in a hotly contested game between the Juniors and the Sophomores. The two teams had defeated the Seniors and the Freshmen by somewhat similar scores, making the outlook before the game equally favorable for both. The ball had not been in play five seconds before McCleary dropped it into the 'basket by a well aimed throw. After this beginning, though, the 'Sophomores were unable to score either in throwing goals from the field or from the two fouls called on the Juniors. In the mean time, Pearce threw a goal from the field and two from foul's, and Shaad threw one from the field, making the score at the end of 'the half 6-2. Pearce's goal was a wonderful one, having been thrown while he lay flat on his back. In the second half, Pearce :scored one point from a foul and Ruble two from the field, making the final score 7-4.
