FOR the benefit of those Alumni and friends of the College who were unable to be with us during commencement week, and especially those whose presence was prevented on account of military duties, we will attempt to print a more complete account of all the events of the week than has been done heretofore. We will attempt to make the Alumni news especially interesting and detailed, recognizing the fact that this number is intended more especially for them than for our local subscribers. A I/THOUGH we have made mention at another place of the fact that the November issue of the Lance is to be a strictly Alumni number, we take this means of further im pressing it upon the Alumni. This is, we believe, an entirely new step, and we trust that the Alumni will make it such a successful one that we will be prompted to try it again at some future time. Through the cooperation of the Alumni, we can make this num ber one of great interest, not only to the Alumni themselves, but also to our other readers. On them, and on them alone, depends the success of the venture. To the Alumni, we would say: Do at least something towards the issue. If you think that you lack the literary ability to write an article of any length, write a per sonal note about yourself or some other Alumnus, for some of our readers will be interested in it. If you do your duty the number will be a source of great pleasure to each of the Alumni who will read it. 'T'O the Senior the spring session is one of last things. He attends chapel for the last time, takes his last examination, the dormitory is to be no longer his home and in his heart he' bids an affectionate farewell to his little belongings before auctioning them off or placing them in the hands of some student jt jt
