With the advent of Spring has come not only base-ball, but tennis. Quite a number of games have been played already and a great interest has been awakened among the stu dents. Prof. McKee's court was the first one put into condition, but all of the others were soon prepared, and it is safe to say that this popular sport is now in full swing at P. S. C. Most of the goods ordered by the students of E. K. Tryon & Co., have arrived and cer tainly speak well for the firm. The blazers and caps in college colors, are splendid samples of workmanship and make a very fine appear ance. Indeed every one has reason to feel satisfied with the work of the firm. Gilbert A, Beaver attended the conference of college men with the two Y. M. C. A. inter national secretaries, held at Albany. The death of Mrs. Olds was a shock to the community, She had been suffering for a long time, and although competent doctors did all in their power, there was no relief. A lady of refinement and kindly social qualities, she leaves a great blank in the family and community. Mr. Olds and family have our deepest sympathy. PERSONALS Mr. Leßoy J. Wolfe and family are visiting with Lieut. Wolfe. Miss Clara Palmer, of Chester, Pa., is visit ing with her sister Mrs. Pond. 'BB. W. P. Jones graduated this spring from the Burlington Medical College, Vermont. Captain Roberts and family were in town a few days this month. THE FREE LANCE. Professor M. W. Bohn made a secret trip to Altoona, April 25th, ostensibly to witness the ball game on the 26th. Blair, 'B9, Quigley, '9o, Arbison and Mus ser, '92; returned to college to attend the Senior hop. 'So. JaMes L. Hamill, formerly of the Belle fonte bar, has gone to Virginia, where he will be interested in the real estate business. '9O. F. A, Bryan has left college to accept a position on the Penna. Engineer Corps, but will return for graduation. Miss Kate D. Price of Chester, Pa., visited relatives in this place the first of the month. 'BB. J. C. Hickman is now acting as book keeper for the Union Oil Company, at Wash-. ington, Pa. Miss Kittie E. Gossler spent a week with friends at the College lately. Miss Leyden, Miss Snyder and the Misses Clark of Beech Creek, were in attendance at the Senior hop. Mr. Daniel Ulrich was married to Miss Mary L. Field of South Orange, N. J., on March io. Mr. and Mrs. Ulrich will be at home after May loth, at 754 Main street, Buffalo, N. Y. 92. E. P. Seward who left college at Christ mas, is now traveling for a firm in New York '9l. John H. Yocum has left college to go into the tanning business with his father, at Johnson City, Tenn. He hopes to return at the beginning of the new college year.
