All the alumni and students of P. S. C. should subscribe liberally to the " La Vie " soon to be published by the Junior class. The annual will contain much that is interest ing to all the former and present students and will be a model college annual. It is the object of the staff to present a book which will give genuine pleasure to all and offense to none. The illustrations of the college buildings and grounds will be such that each alumnus and student shall deem his money well spent in gaining possession of them alone. The Gamma Phi chapter of the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity gave a reception to the other fraternities in their new Chapter House on Friday evening, January 31st. About 60. guests were present including many young ladies. The music was furnished by the .€olian Orchestra of Bellefonte, and was one of the features of the evening. The guests began to arrive about eight o'clock and soon after dancing commenced and was kept up throughout the evening. Refreshments were served at ten o'clock. Among the guests from a distance were the Misses Mary Meek, Emily Harris and Jennie Shortlidge, of Bellefonte. Miss Mary Thompson, of Lemont, and Miss McFarlane, of Boalsburg. Mr. Chas. Kurtz and Mr. Dorsey Hunter. Mrs. Atherton, Mrs. Heston, Mrs. Refer and Mrs. Reeves chaperoned the party and in their graceful and elegant manner made all welcome. A certain Freshman was trying to write some sentimental piece in Latin to his best girl and got his room-mate to help him find some words. He took the English and his. room-mate the Latin dictionary. When they came to the word "squeeze" they got stuck and the following dialogue took place. Freshman.— " Waiste." His mate-room.— " Bust." Freshman.— or " Bust." "I'll look for the word " You had better look for "Alright, I'll find " Waiste '"
