A. at the district convention held in Bellefonte. —There is some talk of arranging a game of ball with the University of Pennsylvania's team to be played some time next month, Great trouble in procuring college colors has arisen owing to the, fact that goods with our exact shades are not manufactured in America. —Quite a number of the Y. M. C. A. members went down to Bellefonte to attend the corvention of the Williamsport division of the association. —D. W. Abreu brought with him, from his home in Cuba, quite a number of native plants which he presented to the Botanical Laboratories —lf the assembly hall is built according to the plans submitted by the architect, Mr. F. L. Olds, it will be a building of which we may indeed feel proud. —Lieutenant and Mrs. Pague entertained a small company on Friday evening, February 24th. Owing to the literary society some could not attend until late. The time was very pleasantly spent in playing cards. Splendid refreshments were served after which all went to their rooms well pleased with the occasion. —With this issue the present local editors sever their connection with the editorial staff of the FREE LANCE, We have done our best to give our subscribers interesting local news and when there has been a shortage in our department we have brought our imaginative powers into play • and manufactured articles enough to fill up our allot ed space.
