Found Dead. Thomas Ritr, an aged
gentleman who resided in Sharpsburg,
was found dead, on Wednesday night last,
in Poplar Run, near Catfish tavern, in
Blair county. He had been in HolliJays-.

left eye, it is supposed that he fell off the
bridge while on his way home. The water
was only about six inches deep where he
was found, and it is thought that he was
to stunned by the fall that he became
powerless, and was thus drowned.

During late years, the public have been
misled by large bottles, pretending to give a

until the name itself has become synonymous
with imposition and cheat. Still we call this
compound 'Sarsaparilla," and intend to sup
ply such a remedy as shall rescue, the name
from the load of obloquv which rests upon it.
We think we have ground for believing it has
