Intimidation. The following cirou
Iar, signed by the Democratic lawyers of
the county, was served on the several
election boards of the county on Tuesday
morning, it is good to have such docu
ments on record:
To Election Officera.' On yer ago you
were informed by the Radical Committee that
receiving the votes of persona charged with
desertion would subject the Board to prose
cution. The radical Boards rejected such
votes and have been prosecuted and heavy
costs are now imposed on such officers as re
fused such votes. Since ihat, the Supreme
Court have decided that these votes cannot
be rejected ; and Election Officers will Incur
a heavy penalty for rejecting them. The
question is therefore fully settled that no man
can be deprived of a vote unless a record of
hi conviction is produced before the Board.

Died On Tuesday, 9th instant, at his
residence in Ebensburg, Col. Michael
Hasson, aged about 70 years. The de
ceased was one cf our old inhabitants, and
was widely known throughout the county,
and indeed throughout the State. He
filled various positions of honor and trust,
among them that of representative to the
State Legislature from Cambria county in
1847, and that of Register and Recorder
of the county in 1856. He was editor of
the Ebensburg Democrat & Sentinel Sot
the period of one year during the war.
His loss will be deeply regretted.
Sudden Death. On Wednesday last,
3d inst., Mr. John Walters, of Duncans
ville, went into his shop, as usual, to work,
eating an apple. In one half hour after
wards he was discovered by his wife, dead.
It would seem that he seated himself on
his work bench to finish eating the apple,
and died in that position. His age was
about 55 years. The Coroner held an
inquest on the body, and found that' he
died of disease of the heart.
The Election. The election passed
off quietly throughout the county. The
day was warm and pleasant, and a full
vote wa3 polled. There was the usual
feverish waiting for "returns" during the
night, but the next day, we noticed, tho
Democrats had lost all interest in the
figures. The Quakers had been out I

CLEANSE THIS liLOOD.
With corrupt or tainted blood,
you are sick all over. It ma
burst ' out In Plmblea.' or Sores.
or la lome active disease, orit
depressed, and good for nothing.' But you
cannot have good health while your blood Is
impure. Ayer's Sar3aparilla purges out these
impurities; it expels disease and restores
health and stimulates the organs of life into
vigorous action. Hence It rapidly cures a
variety of complaints which are caused by
Impurity of the blood, such as Scrofula, or
King's Evil, Tumois, Ulcers, Sores, Erup
tions, Pimples, Blotches, Boils. St. Anthony's
Fire, Rose or Erysipelas, Tetter or Salt
Rheum, Scald Head, Ring Worm. Cancer or
Cancerous Tumors, Sore Eyes, Female Dis
eases, such as Retention, Irregulrity, Sup
pression, Whites, Sterility, also Syphilis or
Venereal Diseases, Liver Complaints, and
Heart Diseases. Try Ayer's Sarsaparllla, and
see for yourself the surprising activity with
which it cleanses the blood and cures these
disorders.
During late years, the public, have been
misled by large bottles, pretending to give a
quart of Extract of Sarsaparilla for one dol
lar. Most of these have been frauds upon
the sick, for they not only contain little, if
any, Sarsaparilla, but often no curative in
gredient whatever. Hence, bitter disappoint
ment has followed the use of the various ex
tracts of Sarsaparilla which flood the market
until the name itself has become synonymous
with imposition and cheat. Still we call this
componnd Sarsaparilla," and intend o sup
ply such a remedy as shall rescue the name
from the load of obloquy which rests upon it.
We tiink we have ground for believing it has
virtues which are irresistible by the clas3 of
diseases it is intended to cure. We can as
sure the sick that we offer them the best al
terative we know how to produce, and we
have reason to believe it is by far the most
effectual purifier of the blood yet discovered.
Ayer's Cherry Pectoral is so universally
known to surpass every other medicine for
the cure of Coughs, Colds, Influenza, Hoarse
ness, Croup, Bronchiti?, Incipient Consump
tion, and for the relief of Consumptive Pa
tients in advanced stages of the disease, that
it is useless here to recount the evidence of
its virtues. The world knows them. .

Miss LE SEUR also treats successfully

which proceed some of the most fearful dis

Mr. R. E. Sellers: Your Vermifuge pos
sesses more virtue than any I ever used. I
will state a case where I gave one vial. My
brother's child was pining and wasting to
mere skeleton. In thirty-six hours after. I
gave the -Vermifuge, the enormous , quantity
of upward of x hundred worms were passed.
The child that was given up for lost is noTT
