"H'OR twenty years I was acverely afllict. d with
Tetteii on llio Fnce and Head! the disease
Commenced when I wns seventeen years old, and
continued until the Fall of 18-16, varying in vio
lence, hut without ever disappearing. During most
of the time, great part of my fnce was covered wilh
the eruption, frequently attended wiih vio'ent itch
ing; my head swel'cd at times until it frit as if it
would burst the swelling was no feat, that I cnu'd
scarcely get my hat on. During the long period
that I was afflicted wiih the disease, I used a great
many a plications, (among them several celebrated
preparation) as w. II as taking iuw.ir. remedies,
including a number of bottles of Rwaim' Panncrn,
Extract of Xarsopnrilla, Ac, In fact, it would be
imporsible to enumerate all the medicines I used.
I was also under the cure of two of ihe most dis
linguUhed physicians of this city, but without re
ceiving much benefit, and I despaired of ever being
cured. In the fill of l?:)fl, the discse nt the time
being very violent, I commenced uaing the Rote
Ointment, (prepared by Vaughiin & Divis.) In
a f. w applications the violent itching ceaed, tha
swelling abated, the irnplion began to disippear,
and before I hud used ajar ihe disease was entirely
cuted. It has now been nearly a yrar and a half
since, and there is nol a veMige of (be disease re
maining, except the sr.ua from the deep pit formed
by the disease. It is impossible, for me to describe,
in a certificate the severity of the disease and my
suffering, but I will be ple iaed to give a fuller ac
count to any person wanting further satisfaction,
who will cull on me. At the lime I rommuiiced
using the Ruse Ointment I would have given hun
dreds nf dollais to bo rid of the disease. Since u
sing it, I have recommended it to several persona,
(among them my mother, who had the discaso bad
ly on her a-m.) who w. re ail cured by it.
