Atten'tion Soldiers. The State pay
due soldiers of the Penn'a Reserves is now
being collected by E. II. Kinsloe, Claim
Agent, of Bellefonte, Pa., to whom all per
sons entitled to this pay should send their
address. lie will attend to their claims

The Ebcnsburg Atlcgltrnian says: On
Monday last, during 'the prevalence of a
thunder stortn; Mr. Joseph Grasberger, of
Carroll township, was driving a team of two
horses attached to a wagon loaded with hay
toward his barn. On top of the hay were
two little sons of Mr. G. A ibolt of light
ning descended upon the wapon, and did the
following fearful damage : One of the boys
was killed outright, the clothing of the oth
er was set on fire, burning him severely, the
two horses fell dead in their tracts, the load
of hay was burned np, and the wagon was
considerably charred. Mr. G. escaped un
injured. Card st Thanks.

At a meeting of the citizens of Osceola,
held this day, the following resolutions weie
adopted :

munity are hereby tendered to the Hon. ii.
F. Hose, Chief of Vigilant Fire Co., No. 2,
of Altoona, and the yecerous members of
the Company, for their prompt response to
our call for aid, at the time of, and during
the dis astrous fire that occurred on Satur
day night. July lGth. 1870; to the able and
efficient officers, A. J. Cassatt, Superintend
ent, of the Penu'a R, 11., and George C.
Wilkins, Sup't of Uraneh Uoad, lor their
kindness in dispatehiii train for our relief
to the citizens of 1'unbar, Phiiipsburg ana
Tyrone for their timely assistance, and to
I!. A. O. Kerr, Councilman of the city of
Altoona, for promptly soliciting the services
of the "Steamer" and its able and efficient
member.
