will require little if any rubbing, thus avoiding theig went
on the wash-board. 4th. tioiling, the clothes is unnecessary
when this Soap Is used, and hard or snit water answers
equally as well as soft. 6th. Printers, Machinists, Painters
and others, flud it far superior to other Scapa. It speedily re
moves grease, tar, paint, printers' ink and dirt from the
hands, leaving the skin soft, and free from chapping.
To avoid the labor et rubbing thb clothes, and the use of
the wash-board, the following dlrectioturshould be followed :
For the washing of eight or ten of a family, take cue
pound of Soap, cut it Into shavings, and dissolve in one
gallon of hot water; put toe chitin. Into a tub containing
about ten gallons of warm water; poor in the dissolved
Soap, and stir thoroughly. Let them soak twenty to thirty
minutes, wring out, and rinse in warm water once, cold
water twice. A very dirty wrist-band, or scam, or grease
spats, may require a slight rubbing, but otherwise the
clothes will come out clear and white, without robbing or
boiling. Cold water may ba mad hi place of hot, requiring
about double time In soaking.
