Sharp Procsicc.---We have heard a story of a potty
thief who stele an umbrella from a front ball door
and then went around to the kitchen door and sold
it. An incident which casts this in the shade occur
red a day or two since in Lawrenceville. A gentle
man, there resident, has a fine field of corn in the
rear of his house, large enough to supply hie family
with roasting ears. A woman, not having a proper
appreciation_of the right of ownership, appropriated
a large baaket full of the corn and then want imme
diately into hie house and sold a couple of dozen of
tho ears to his lady for cash. When the gentleman
found it out he " acknowledged the corn " and let
the old woman off with a sharp reprimand to keep off
his premises.

TEA'S STOMACH BITTERS in all cases of Dyspep
sia end similar affections has given that valuable prepara
tion a wide popularity among these who for years reared
from such ailments. It is excellent as a tonic, and bonefi
cient in its effects on alp syitem. Its history is one almost
of miracles, one to which Dr. Hostetter can point with con
fidence end credit. Indeed, no remedy, perhaps, in the
same period has attained such an extended popularity as
the Doctor's Bitters, which are over regarded ss a certain
care for distress of stomach. Those who have tried it speak
praisingly of its effects, and therefore, we can commend it
to general use. The sitters are free from anything calcula
ted to prove injurious to the system, or objectionablo to

DR. R. A. WILSON9N
Tonic, Cathartic, and Anti-Dyspeptic
PILES
PREPARED AND SOLD BY
B. L. FAHNESTOCK &
WHOLESALE DRUGGISTS,
No. 60 corner of Wood and Fourth Street.,
PITTSBURGH, PEN N'A
AS AN EFFICIENT, safe and convenient
tonic, outmode and anti dyspeptic medicine, these
Pills are recommended to the public by the former propri
etor, (Ult. WILSON,) with a confidence such as a long con
tinued and careful trial of them in an ample practice war
rants. In their operation as a cathartic, they influence
more the ruotory and leas the secerning power of the bowels
than any other combination in common use.
AS A TONIC—They agree with the most delicate stem•
ooh, removing nausea, pain, and debility from that organ,
sod through it Impart tone and vigor to the whole system.
AS AN ANTI-DYBPRPTIO--They nentralise• and inter
rupt the formation of acids, check fermentation, and pre
vent the elimination of gases from the food in the stomach,
—the direct consequences of chemical action,—an action
which should never exist in the human stomach. From
these peculiarities in the Pills, a person taking them may
expect a free, full and natural evacuation of the bowels,
without pain, nausea, local or general debility, or that die.
gusting sickness or costiveness—the usual effects which at
tend or follow the
CARTIuse of other pus gee.

WASHINGTON, Pa. January 8, 1888—Dear Doctor: I have
h,:-eu using' your "Xnti-Dyspeptic " Pills, when occasioned
required, for many years, and can truthfully say that I have
never found any medicine equal to them in relieving me
from affections of the stomach and head. They have never
tailed to relieve me from headache, and have always left
my system in better condition they found it. I mast confi
dently recommend your Pills as a safe and highly valuable
medicine. Very respectfully, etc.,
Da. R. A.DALI9 Wilsott. WAt. HOPKINS.
Prom Thos. Etlackmore, Esq., Treasurer of Allegheny Cb., Pa.
Tot n. It. A. Wnaon.—Dear Sir: I have been using your
Pills since 184, and do decidedly say they are the best Pill
in use, or that I have any knowledge of. I first used them
fm. "sick headache," with which I suffered beyond descrip
tion ; I am happy to say, that they entirely cared me. Since
then I UV) them as a family medicine : if I am bilious, or
anything ails me, and I require medicine, I take a Pill, and
it cures me; they are my only medicine, and have been for
the last seventeen years. THOS. BLAOKMORE.

Poor. ll'ood—Dear Sir :—I have heard much said of
the wonderful effecta of your Hair Restorative, but having
been so often cheated by quackery and quack nostrums,
hair dyes, Lc., I was disposed to place your Restorative in
the same category with the thousand and one loudly trum
peted quack remedies, until I met you in Lawrence county
some months since, when you gave me such assurance as
induced the trial oFyour Restorative in my family—first by
my good wife, whose hair bad become very thin and en.
ttrely white, and before exhausting one of your large bot
tles, her hair was restored nearly to its original beautiful
brown color, and had thickened and become beautiful and
glossy upon, and entirely over the head; she continues to
use it, not simply because of its beautifying effects upon
the hair, but because of its healthful influence upon the
bead and mind. Others of my family and friends amusing
your Restorative, with the happiest effects herefore, my
skepticism and doubts in reference to its character and
value are entirely removed; I can and do and most coz ,
dially and confidentially recommend its use by all Who
would have their hair restored from white or gray (by roe.
son of sickness or age,) to original color and beauty, and by
all young parsons who would 1311ve their hair beautiful and
glossy. Very truly and gratefully yours,

me it would do; and others of my faniffy and friends,
