Scven Thousand cases of obstinate Pulztonary Corn plaint: cured in one year! We ask the attention of the candid to a- few con-1 siclerations. Nature, in every part of her works, has left indeli ble marks of adaptation and design. The constitution of the animals and vegetables of the forest, is such that they could not endure the cold of the frigid zone, and vice vesa. In regard to diseases and its cure, the adaption is more or less striking. The Moss of Iceland, the-Wild Cherry and Pines of all Northern latitudes (and "Dr. WISTAII . S BAL SAM" II a compound chemical extract from these,) hak long been celebrated fur complaints prevalent orily in cold climates. Indeed the most distinguished medical men have averred that nature furnishes in every country medicines for its own peculiar diseases. , Coa.rumption in its crinciamed and incipient stages Couxlis, Asthma,Crati)) and Liver Comp:dint form by far tha most fatal class of diseases known to our taktd. Yet eeen these may be cured by means of the !simple yet powerful remedies (named above) and which arc scattered, by a beneficient Providence, !wherever those maladies prevail. ANOTHER ASTONISHING CURE! WIFFAWS BALSA?! OF WILD CHERRY. always triuni lphant! cure follows cure in its onward victorious career! DAYTo!t, Feb, 1111, 1543 „/. W. Whilmorc.—Dear Sa: As youare the re-- u4 - r authorized agent in Dayton, for the sale of•"Dc. Wistar's Balsam of Wild Cherry,” I take this meth od of making a statement of facts to you (which I hope may Lc published, to the world) inloferonte to au almost miraculous cure, wrought in toy case by means of the above Invaluable Balsam. . - Language fails to describe the salutary effects it pro diced, and the great benefit I deriYed from its use. !The citizens of Dalton and vicinity, well recol lect that on the WI of August last, I received seri ous injury front the explosion of a cannon. A por tion of its contents entered my right side and breast; and in all probability, some fragments or splinters of the ram-rod passed through the - ..plura," and pierced the Lungs. ; After the lapse of about six weeks, I was attacked with a distressing cough and a violent pain in my right side. Some ten days after this whoa in a par oxysm of coughing, suddenly and ULCER broke, and a i large quantity of very offensive matter, mixed with blood, was discharged; most of which found passage through the opening of the wound. From tl4.s epemag there frequently passed a quantity of ailr, supposed to issue from the lungs. During all flits time my sufferings were almost intolerable. 'My physicians, meanwhile paid the strictest atten tips to me, and did all in their power for my recov ery. I3ut with all their skill they Could not reach the seal of distress, 'Mir the Lungs had become greet ed. I was visited during this time by at least twenty Physicians. lit was now reduced to a certainty, that inficunation of the lungs was rapidly taking place; and that this would terminate my life in a very short time, was in the highest degree probable. At this critical stage, a messenger was despatched td • Cincinnati, and a celebrated Physician or that place was consulted. When he was made acquaint ed with my situation, he remarked that nothing could be done by medical aid, if the constitution itself was not sufficient to throw off the disease. ;My friends now despaired of my recovery, and I had no earthly ground of hope to survive many days. ; Fertunately at this juncture, I saw one of Dr. Wis tar,a Pamphlets, entitled "Family Medical Guide," or "Treatise on Consumption of the Lungs." As I had often heard of dying men "catching at straws," I felt this doing so myself. By the convent of my Physicians, I sent to you for a bottle of the medicine described vizi " Wistar's Balsam of Wild Cherry," Which relieved trte almost immediately. Atter I had used some five or six bottles /sofar recovered a to be up and abut. My cough ceased, and my lungs were restored to a healthy state—all from the heal ing and balmy influence and powerful medicinal vir tues of rifistar's Balsam. Were it not from the external injury I received in My shoulder and arm by the explosion, I feel confi dent, that I might have been working .at my trade (which is blacksmithingo but this has prevented. ; By exposure, I have since taken several severe colds and my only remedy has been "the balsam." „. end I now most cordially recommend the genuine I istar's Balsam to all who are afflicted with Colds, oughs, or Lung Complaints. I consider it an inval uable medicine—a real blessing to the world. Any person desiring further information, may call on me any time. yours truly, CHRISTOPIIER It. SMYTII. I .
