Serra Thousand cases of obstinate Pulmonary Com. plaints cured in one year! We ask the attention of the candid to a few con siderations. Nature, in every part of her works, has left indeli ble marks of adaptation and design. The constitution of the animals and vegetables of the forest, is such that they could not endure the cold of the frigid zone, and vice vela. lu regard to diseases and its cure, the adaption is more or less striking. The Moss of Iceland, the Wild Cherry and Pines of all Northern latitudes (and "Dr. WisrAnrs BAL• SAN" is a compound chemical extract from.: these,) have long been celebrated for complaints pf:evalent only in cold climates. Indeed the most distinguished medical men have averred that nature furnishes in every conntry medicines for its own peculiar diseases. Consumption in Its confiamed and incipient stages Coughs, Asthnut, Croup and liver Complaint form by far tha most fatal class of diseases known to' our land. Yet even these may be cured by 112C-o.lll{ of the simple yet powerful remedies (named aboVe) and which are scattered, by a beneficient Providence, wherever those maladies prevail. ANOTHER ASTONISHING CURE! ; Cis-can's BALSA)! or wtto.curnur, alwayS triutu phanll cure fallow cure iu its onward victorious career! D.tyrox, Feb, I Ith, 1845. I. fl'. Initmore.--Dear Sir: As youare Bin rtr•- ular authorized agent iu Dayton, fur the sale , rof 4, 17 r. Wistar's Balsam of Wild Cherry," I take ihfli meth od of making s statement or e.oto to you (Which 1 hope may be - publislied to the world) in refetrence to an almost miraculous ruse, wrought in my 'muse by means et tho above'btraluabir Balsam. Language fails to describe the salutary Miceli it pro duced, and the great benefit I derived from ;its use. The citizens of Dayton and vicinity, well recol lect that on the Sth of August last, I receivdd seri ous injury from the explosion of a cannon. ; A por tion of its contents entered my right side and breast; and in all probability, some fragments or splintem of the ram-rod passed through the “plura," and pierced the Lungs. After the lapse of about six weeks, I was attacked with a distressing cough and a violent pain in my right side. Some ten days after this when in, a par oxysm of coughing, suddenly and vixen broke, and a larg e quantity of very offensive matter, mixed with blood, was discharged; most of which found passage through, the opening of the wound. l From this epening there frequently passed a quahtity of air, supposed to issue from the lungs. Dating all this time my sufferings were almost intolerable. rbly phykimans, meanwhile paid the strictest atten tion to me, and did all in their power for my recov ery. But with all their skill they could not reach the seat qf distress, after the Lungs had become affect ed. I was visited during this time by at leasChrenly Physicians. lt was now reduced to a certainty, that inflamatt on of the lungs seas rapidly taking place; and that this would terminate my life iu a very short time, was in the highest degree probable. At this critical stage, a messenger was despatched to Cincinnati, and a celebrated Physician ;or that place was consulted. When he was made acquaint ed with my situation, he remarked that nothing could be done by medical aid, if the constitution itself was not sufficient to throw off the disease. My friends now despaired of my recovery; and I had no earthly ground of hope to survive many days: Fortunately at this juncture, I saw one of Dr. Wis tar's' Pamphlets, entitled "Family Medical Guide," or "Treatise on Consumption of the Lungs. As I had often heard of dying men , teatching at stravv,T' I felt this doing so myself. By the consent of Physicians, I sent to you for a bottle of the medieine described viz: " Wisiar's Balsam of Wild Cherry," which relieved me almost immediately. Atter I had used some five or six bottles I sufur recovered as to be up and about. My cough ceased, and my lungs were restored to a healthy state—all from the heal ing and balmy influence and powerful inedicital vir tues of Wistar , s Balsam. Were it not from the external injury I received in my shoulder and arm by the explosion, I feel confi dent, that I might have been working at my trade (which is blacksmithing,) but this has prevented. Rv exposure, 1 have since taken several !severe colds, anti my only remedy has been "the balsam." And,l now most cordially recommend the genuine Wistar's Balsam to all who are afflicted with Colds, Coughs, or Lung Complaints. I consider it an inval uable medicine—a real blessing'to the world. Any person desiring further information, may call on me any time. yours truly, CHRISTOPHER R. SMITH. City of Dayton,.!
