Illinois, is Placed under the command of Col Wm B Warren, of Jaeksonville. The house of Mr Crawford in that county was robbed on the 3d insr, and the plunderers have been arrested by Col W. The Mormons it is said, have concluded to emigrate to Vacouver's island. This island i. about 300 miles long, and from 75 to 100 miles wide; is inhabited by a peaceful tribe of Indians, and possesses great natural advantages. It belongs to the Oregon Territory. The principal Mormons will leave for their rew homes next Spring, and will be followed by most of that sect. The citizens of Lee county, Iowa: have held a meeting for the purpose of devising mesures for the removal of the Mormons from that county. Their action seems to he wholly uncalled for. As the Mor mons have resolved to m:rve in the spring, all further efforts to molest them, must be regarded as malici ous persecution, and receive no sympathy from the swell-disposed or upright chi:rms.—lb.
