It gives us pleasure to observe that there is no little feeling and enthusiasm on the subject, and the turn-out will be exceedingly large. We most earnestly hope that the day may be generally observed, and that people of all classes and creeds will join in manifesting the respect and admi ration that all must feel for are great man who has de parted. The Councils deserve much credit for their prompt and patriotic action on the subject. and the call of the committee has met with a hearty response from all the military and civil organizations in both ci ties'ami their vicinity. The Military, the Firemen. the Odd Fellows, as well as various other societies will parade in force, and give animation to the scene. The religious exercises of the occasion, and the Eulu given cannot fail to be highly instructive and interest ing, and will of themselves attract hundreds of hearters.
