The different railroads converging in this place are Htill enlarging the boundaries of their possessions, improving their buildings, and in creasing their facilities for trade. The Cleve land and Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne & Chicago railroads have now a beautiful square plot of ground, which they are enclosing by a Btone wall. The old Pennnsylvania canal has been filled up, thus enlarging the area of their lot, and the piers and abutments of the old aquednet are being taken down and the stone used to improve and fence in the lot owned by these roadß, thus rendering tlie place secure from nccidehts, so frequent where the track is not enclosed. The Pennsylvanii Kallroad has also purchased extensive lots of :ground on which they are erecting large and commodious buildings'. Their property is in the immediate vicinity of the lots owned by the Western roads, and the Allegheny Valley Eailroad.
