Organization of the Senate. —On the 29th ultimo the Senate—after a two month s dead lock—was organized, Dr. St. Clair having taken his seat. Con. siderable excitement existed in Harris burg, and it is said that fully four thou sand people were in and around the cap ital. After reading the returns, the oath was administered lo the new Senatoi when that body proceeded to business’ .Mr. Johnston moved to take upthe bili allowing soldiers to vote at the next Oe tober election. The yeas and nays were called by Mr. Clymer, and resulted in 17 ayes and 1(1 nays. Sudden Death.—Coroner McOlung yesterday morning held an inquest, in Pitt township, on the body of an old man named 'William Trainer, who died suddenly at his residence, near Two Mile Run, last night. Deceased it ap pears resided with his son. who is ~ brakesman on one of our coal railroads, and last night went out to bring in a bucket of coal, lie was seized while out with a fit of some kind, and, falling over a little embankment, expired. His absence was soon noticed, and search was made for him, but it was not till this morning he was found, and life was then extinct. A verdict in accordance with the facts was rendered. Look Out for tho New Currency. —We received in change for fifty rents yesterday, four ten cent “shin splasters" and one twenty-five rent ditto, making fifteen cents more than t lie r. >rreet change'. The similarity in appearance of the dif ferent denomination-, will make such errors of frequent occurrence, and all who handle this currency will do well to he particular. We “locals" scrutinize our little currency very closely and arc not likely to make a mistake of this kind against ourselves—therefore the public should appreciate the disinterestedness Of this suggestion.
