A SAD CATASTROPHY.-0110 of the most painful incidents that ever came to our knowledge, occurred on last Saturday about three o'clock, in Temperanceville, It seems, that as some children were play ing around a fire which they built, as was their wont, on the hill overlooking the vil lage of Temperanceville, a prattling child of about:two years old, 3011 of Peter 0% Ilanlon, went too near the flames, which set on -fire his woolen dress. Before any assistance came to his aid, his companions being too frightened, he was beyond all surgipal power. Ile died on Sunday morn• ing; in the most intense pain. This mei ancholly event, ought to be a terrible warning to mothers, who allow their chil dren to run around out of their sight. Two - thirds of the disasters that befall heedless' children, arise from gross care lessness on the part of their parents.
