that Mr. Harry Woods, Sheriff of Alle
gheny county, who is at present at Cres
son, died at that place. We have the as
surance of a gentleman direct from Cres
son that our worthy Sheriff was not only
living, bnt as well as usual yesterday i
morning. If anything more is necessary,

pleasure in ststing that he is not dead.
