Thomas' staff. This will be gratifying news to his numerous friends. Gone to Baltimore. The splendid war pictures of Messrs. Clapp, Stanley & Co., known as the Polop ticomorama, exhibited here for two weeks with such gratifying success were unrolled for the last time on Saturday night, to a good audience. There admirable paint ings were much admired here as works of art, and while they pleased the eye, in structed the spectators, giving them a per• fectly clear idea of the scenes represented. On Thursday last the managers of the Buffalo and State Line Railroad, and other well known railroad men of Buffalo, held a meeting in the latter town, at which it Was determined to build a road direct from Erie to Cleveland.
