Peebles and Collins townships held a large and spirited war meeting in the public, school house in East Liberty. -Jos, Wood well. Esq., was called to the chair, and George A. Berry appointed Secretary.— The chairman announced the 'object of the meeting—the adoption of measures to fa cilitate the furnishing of our State's quota of volunteers. A. W. Marks, Dr. .1. B. McClintock and Charles W. Batchelor were appointed a committee to draft resolutions. In their absence the meeting was ably addressed' by Rev. D. Bacon. The committee, on their return, reported the following, which were adopted by acclamation: Resolved, Ist. That the loyal citizens of East Liberty and its neighborhood here assembled, with one heart and one voice, reiterate the patriotic resolutions adopted by our fellow citizens in mass meeting as sembled on the 24th inst., and the princi ple declared by our venerable friend and neighbor-.fudge Wilkins, the Chairman of the meeting on that occasion. :2. That we have full and abiding con fidence in the patriotism, ability and in tegrity of President Lincoln, and we pledge him our undivided support in a vigorous prosecution of the war, with no relaxation of effort until the rebellion is crushed, and our gbrious Union and Constitution again to be restored. J. That we now recognize but two par ties; that for the country and those op posed to it. We belong to the former, and we hold as enemies of freedom, humanity and progress, all who belong to the other. 4. That every one who cannot at this time give his Muscle to his country, should give money, and that not grudgingly nor sparingly. 5. That we deprecate the policy of opening too many recruiting stations in suburban districts, believing that union of effort for the sake of the Union is now the paramount duty of every friend of his country. t. That we reiterate our pledges for the support °lone Country, one Constitution; Liberty and Union, now and forever, one and inseparable. T. That a committee of nine, with pow er to add to their number, be appointed by the Chair, to solicit and receive sub scriptions to aid in the patriotic purposes now so immediately and imperiously de manded. Under the last resolution Geo. R. White, P. H. Laufman. A. J. Woolslair, Adam Mohler, Dr. Lewis, Dr. Perchment, Dr..L R. McClintock, C. H.
