The Pennsylvania delegations of both houses held a meeting in the Speaker’s room at the Capitol to-day, upon the sub ject of returning the sick and wounded sol diers of that State to hospitals in Pennsyl .Ji Curtin, who was present, stated that the order had been issued, but that the President refused to sanction it iUe meeting delegated representative Co* vode to wait upon him and request him to authorize the order to prevail. Mr. Covode subsequently reported that the President said he appreciated the mo tive which actuated the gentleman from whom the request came, and promised he would give the subject his careful atten tion, and grant the request of it. It could not seem to prove detrimental to public interests. The members of Congress from the Bor- States met to-night, but did not conclude their business. It seems certain, however, that while they write, they, with perhaps half a dozen exceptions, will no t endorse the President’s emancipation j-eheme; they will, nevertheless, propose ‘ts respectful consideration to their re spective States. \ niHEASES OF THE Pittsburgh, and takeSSim at tht™ amved in BfOKOXGAHEIuh HOUSE, Where I may be consulted fur a limited time j la regard to Branehltle.
