,014111IIING NEW.—During these dull,
hard and exciting times, when the whole
cry is war, war, it is really refreshing to
discover something new. A walk up Lib
erty a•reet to a point opposite the metal
yard of the Penn'a R. R Co will satisfy
any old fogy that "some things can he
done as well as ethers." Robt. H. Canan

at the Eldorado Lime Works, Blair ecunty.
Pa. They have now an abundant supply
on hand, both in bulk and in barrels,
which they warrant to be superior to Louie.
ville lime, and cheaper for all purposes
than the grey lime sold in this market.
For further information see their well dis
played advertisement in our columns this
morning.
CHARGE 01? LAUCE.2. Y.-A colored boy

house on a charge of 'army in taking

been recovered.
EYB AND EAR.-Our readers afflicted
with disease of these organs should lose to
time in calling upon Dr. F. A. Von Mos.
clizisker. He has effected many wonder.
ful cures here. Those who wish to em.
ploy Dr. Von M. should call early, as he
will remain but a short time lon:er.
SIDDONS' RICADING.—As might have been
expected, a large audience greeted Mr.
Siddons at Concert Hall last evening. His
quiet, gentlemanly manner, his dignity of
carriage, aid beautiful elocution pleased
all who appreciate good reading. He will
give his last entertainment on Thursday
evening at Lafayette Hall. Subject—An
