The Municipal Convention The delegates to.the Republican Con. vention to nominate candidates for Mayor, Controller and Treasurer assembled in the Supreme Court room on Tuesday morning at ten o'clock. Tito convention was called to order by Thomas F. liry ilson, Esq., Chairman of the City C)tumittee, who read the call, John A. Sergeant and D. B. Ferguson, E qs , were chosen temporary Secretaries. The list of delegalcs wee called over and after some substitutions the Convention blood as follows: First Ward—Geo. W.Coffi , Geo. W 11. son, John H. Sarber, R. C. Elliott, John Gracey. The temporary officers were, on motion, elected per nanently for the convention, Dr. A. G. McCandless declining a nomi niwon as chairman. Nominations being in order, B. C. Saw. yer, Jr. and James Lowry, Jr. were placod in nomination for Mayor; John lticCargo, Samuel Allinder, W. J. Howard and John McGregor for Controller; William Etch baum for Treasurer. On motion of Mr. Brush; William Eich. baum was nominated for Treasurer by ac clamation.
