About twelve o’clock on the day of the shooting had a conversation with deceased. He sta ed that Rogers had beentalkiag about him; that he (V.) wanted to tight Rodgers in front of the Association Rooms, when he refused and took him by the arm, walking along First street to Wood, where he (V.) called Rodgers a s h.
