A mob in a great city, that Jirelends to be under the ■V flag, attacks a body of soldiers going to the defence of that flag, and shoots down a number of them in the Btreela. A more infamous thing than this has not occurred in all toe annals of Baltimore riots. Among the men attacked in Baltimore was a body of wholly unarmed Pennsylva- Rtans, some of whom were killed and others ■wounded. Baltimore lies upon a bay that is an expansion of a Pennsylvania river, and she has derived a large portion o! her protsj parity from the trade of the Susquehanna Valley. The return Bhe gives for this is the whooting of Pennsylvanians who endeavor •to pass peaceably through the streets; Are there not enough of good citizens in Balti more to come to the rescue of their city’s reputation? Pennsylvania will not soon forget the murders of Friday. ' We would suggest to our friends in the country, who have rifles in good order to spare, to tender them to the County Com mittee of Safety ; that they may be assigned to points most required. We are not aware that any required, bpt it would be a patri otic offering and properly appreciated. MILITARY STORKS FORWARDED.
