Kurtz, of this place, was con- sumed by fire on the night of Wednes- day last. The flames were communi- cated from the hay mow, which was fired by some villian, for what purpose isnot known. Mr. Kurtz's horse and cow and another horse were in the sta- ble, but all were saved. The frequen-| cy of these fires is exciting suspicion, | and there seems to be an organized ef-| fort to keep them going.
