BARN Struck BY LIGHTNIG AND Burnen.—On- last Thursday right, 19th. about 2 o'clock; a most terrific thunder storm passed over our valley, during which the barn upon the farm of Rev. P. S. Fisher, in Gregg town- ship, was struck by he tning, and in f moment thereaftér the “whole build- ing was in a blaze. ,. The light of the burning barn was refleeted apon our town, although about five miles dis- tant, and we witnessed it from the win- dows of our bed-chamber. The barn, in a very short time was in ashes with most of its contents, including four horses, property of Mr. Isaac Reish, the tefiant, who also lost all his horse- gears, he barely having time to save his reaper and buggy... Some 200 bushels of grain, and several tons of hay were burned. Rev. Fisher had an insurance of $800 upon the barn, in the Centre Hall Co., and $200 usu rance upon the grain. = Mr, Reizh had no insurance. and bein: a man of moderate means his loss is a severe one for him. The barn‘was nearly new, having ‘been built some five years ago. : SPT IA SEVERE FarnL—On last Tuesday night, about 9 o'clock, as Rev. J. K.
