no better place it provided. Bat this thing of treat*
mg the unfortunate, and the vicious in the same
manner—of confining madmen with criminals, can
not be too much deprecated. Our city poor house
should be provided suitable rooms, or a sep
arate boilting should be erected for this
unfortunate class of oar fellow creatures, where
they may receive suitable medical (mention, so that
If possible they may be restored to themselves their
femiliria and the world. Our sister city Allegheny
■has already moved in this matter, and has provid
